Meet The Owners !
Welcome to Granny Farms, founded by Joanne and Willie Manning, native Detroiters with a legacy of entrepreneurship and community engagement. With over 30 years' experience in project and 45 years in property management, Joanne and Willie bring a wealth of expertise to our family-owned, female -lead, operation.

Co-founder Joanne Manning is retired from 30 years of Social Work at Detroit Public Schools. Co-founder Willie Manning is retired from 40 years of Security Expertise at Ford Motor Company.

As the former founders of ABC Mobile Vision Willie and Joanne Manning provided eye exams and eyeglasses to school districts and communities in the underserved areas of Metro Detroit. The Mannings have been involved in several community operations such as: Manning Farm Group, which is a nonprofit farming business, and the JR Golf Academy providing golf lessons to Detroit youth for over 16 years. They have a proven track record of successful ventures and sustainable business practices. Their backgrounds as a social worker, security expert, project and property management reflect our commitment to community welfare and safety.
